Sarwan Gidda was one of the founders, with two brothers, of Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery in 2000. He left that partnership in 2008 to build the 1,400-square-metre Volcanic Hills Winery about a kilometre west of Mt. Boucherie.
The $2.3-million winery, capped by a tasting room with views of Okanagan Lake, opens in the spring of 2010, managed by Sarwan’s son, Bobby. The Gidda family lauched with a large portfolio of tables wines and icewine by having wines made in 2007 and 2008 at the nearby Kalala winery. The wines include gewürztraminer, pinot noir, merlot, gamay and cabernet sauvignon. Other varieties grown in the Gidda vineyard – chardonnay, zweigelt, michurinetz and maréchal foch – give many options to the experienced winemakers at Volcanic Hills.
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is Jason writing the email from Brightenvantage on behalf of our customers. He wants to operate a wholesaler in Regina to export wine to China. Please advise if you could sell the product to him and provide related supporting documents.
Thanks,
Jason
